the idea behind the look

Today I wanted to be brave and try a winged eye liner look. As a result, I was very happy with how this warm, bronzed cat eye look turned out.

Using the Modern Renaissance Palette, I did my eyes first before the rest of my make-up, to avoid fallout. First, I used a crease brush I went in with the shade Burnt Orange and blended it all over my crease. Then I used Realgar to bring warmth to the crease, and Cyprus Umber on the outer V.  Finally, I put Primavera all over my lid as a nice metallic pop. For my lower lash line, I buffed out Burnt Orange and Cyprus Umber to make it super smokey.

I used just a basic make-up removing wipe and the tip of my nail to give my eye shadow  a nice sharp look. Also, I like to use a liquid eye liner such as the Wet n Wild Liquid Eyeliner, to give it a nice dark matte finish to my cat eye.

For my face make-up, I started with my L’Oreal Magic Lumi Light Infusing Primer, because it brings an awesome glow to the skin,  Then I went in with the Hourglass Vanish Stick Foundation in Alabaster, since it is one of my all time favorite full coverage foundations. After that, I used the Tarte Shape Tape in Fair and then set it with Laura Mercier Translucent Loose Setting Powder.

After I got my base make-up on, I went in with my Wet n Wild Mega Cushion Contour using an angled brush, then I set the cream with my bronzer from the Topaz palette. Then I used a nice neutral blush, then went in with the shades Forever Young and Forever Lit from the Anastasia GloKit.

I hope everyone enjoys this look!

The idea behind the look

For my eyes, I used the Modern Renaissance Palette, which has wonderful creamy eye shadows in these lovely rose toned shades. I used the shades Burnt Orange, Cyprus Umber, Realgar, Red Ochre, and Vermeer.

For my face, I used the Hourglass Vanish Stick Foundation, then the Tarte Shape Tape Concealer. When I use both of these products, I get the best full coverage look for my skin. After, I went in with a neutral blush, and finally topped it off with the Nicole Guerrieo GloKit by Anastasia of Beverly Hills. Resulting in fabulous glowing skin!

A red smokey eye has become a very trend for these past few months! Though red shadows might appear to be intimidating to most, it is actually very flattering on all skin types when done right. The key is to keep the red shadow low, and to blend it out evenly. Keep natural brown and nude shades in the crease, and pack on the red on the lid. Red shadow when buffed out under the water line is a fantastic way to wear it as well. The best thing to do is to play around with these shades at home – you will be so glad that you did!

The Best Exfoliating Products for Dry Skin

Hey everyone!

Today I am going to share the best exfoliating products for dry skin from Sanitas Skincare! Dry skin can be a pain to deal with from day to day, especially in the cold seasons. Exfoliation is awesome for taking about the dead and dull skin and helping the new healthy skin break through.

A gENTLE eXFOLIATION

Sanitas Lemon Cream Scrub is an awesome gentle exfoliant. Gentle enough Is to use everyday for those who do not have sensitive. Those of you that do, use this every other day. This product makes the skin instantly look healthier and more bright, and not to mention it smells like a lemon cookie!

A medium Exfoliation

Sanitas GlycoSolution 15% is a good medium exfoliant. This toner is great to use after the Lemon Cream Scrub, and right before you move on to a heavier exfoliant or moisturizer. This product I would recommend using only every other day for those who do not have sensitive skin. Those with sensitive skin, use this once a week. This product contains glycolic acid, which is the key acid for those who have dry or aging skin.

A once a week exfoliation

Sanitas Cranberry Lactic Mask is an exfoliation that will really take away dead skin and leave it feeling super smooth. This mask should be used once a week for those that do not have sensitive skin. Those that do, use this once every two weeks.  This product has some serious ingredients in it to give some amazing results to your skin, but the key is to not over use it.

a few more tips for dry skin

Drink lots of water – Staying hydrated is key to keeping your skin from getting dry.

Do not sun tan or go to tanning beds – Tanning is one of the many causes of dry skin for people. Not to mention the other damage that it can cause to your skin. Skip the bed and get a spray tan or use a good self tanner.

Do not over exfoliate – Over exfoliation can be damaging to skin and can potentially cause break outs. Only use exfoliants Moisturizers the way they are instructed.

All of these are wonderful products and tips to help you with your dry skin. I use them at home, and I love every one of them, and I am sure you will too!

5 Minute Make-up Routine

Today I am here to share how I got this 5 minute make-up routine!

First, I started off with with a luminous primer to brighten up the skin and to give off a nice glow.

Then I filled my brows in with brow powder, and set them with brow gel to hold them in place.

For my eyes, I curled my eyelashes and topped them off with a volumizing mascara.

Then for my lips I filled them in with a lip liner, then put a reddish nude liquid lipstick on top.

And that’s it for my look!
