the idea behind the look

Today I wanted to be brave and try a winged eye liner look. As a result, I was very happy with how this warm, bronzed cat eye look turned out.

Using the Modern Renaissance Palette, I did my eyes first before the rest of my make-up, to avoid fallout. First, I used a crease brush I went in with the shade Burnt Orange and blended it all over my crease. Then I used Realgar to bring warmth to the crease, and Cyprus Umber on the outer V.  Finally, I put Primavera all over my lid as a nice metallic pop. For my lower lash line, I buffed out Burnt Orange and Cyprus Umber to make it super smokey.

I used just a basic make-up removing wipe and the tip of my nail to give my eye shadow  a nice sharp look. Also, I like to use a liquid eye liner such as the Wet n Wild Liquid Eyeliner, to give it a nice dark matte finish to my cat eye.

For my face make-up, I started with my L’Oreal Magic Lumi Light Infusing Primer, because it brings an awesome glow to the skin,  Then I went in with the Hourglass Vanish Stick Foundation in Alabaster, since it is one of my all time favorite full coverage foundations. After that, I used the Tarte Shape Tape in Fair and then set it with Laura Mercier Translucent Loose Setting Powder.

After I got my base make-up on, I went in with my Wet n Wild Mega Cushion Contour using an angled brush, then I set the cream with my bronzer from the Topaz palette. Then I used a nice neutral blush, then went in with the shades Forever Young and Forever Lit from the Anastasia GloKit.

I hope everyone enjoys this look!

The idea behind the look

I was wanting to go with something a little smokey, yet natural enough to wear during the day. This is a nice neutral-bronze smokey eye that is versatile for everyone. I would encourage you to go out to any beauty store and swatch  neutral eye  shadows to see which colors fit your personal skin tone the best, and then you can recreate this look for yourself.
